Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga Review, DDS2 Preview

Shin Megami Tensei has never been a mainstream sort of game. With all of its roots in the occult, SMT is Jolt Cola to Final Fantasy's Pepsi. Despite the fact that the games are rooted in non-standard themes, SMT has generally been an excellent series, albeit an import one.

With Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga, Atlus has introduced a title to America that combines the occultness of Shin Megami Tensei with a standard Japanese-styled RPG. The review of Digital Devil Saga also introduces something new here at RPGFan, the Editor's Choice Award. This award is given to those games that the Editor feels goes above and beyond the call of duty or adds to the Role-Playing Genre.
