Development of Makai Wars Put on Hold

According to IGN, the development of Nippon Ichi Software's PlayStation Portable title Makai Wars has been put on hold. Apparently the company aims to focus its resources on completing and pursuing other projects for the time being. It was also revealed that Makai Wars was originally scheduled to launch alongside Sony Computer Entertainment's first handheld device. Today's announcement does not mean that the project has been cancelled, even though it remains to be seen when development will be resumed. For the time being, Nippon Ichi Software plans to focus on its lineup of PlayStation 2 titles.In an exclusive interview conducted by RPGFan in late February, company president Kouichi Kitazumi would only say that his company would announce details regarding Makai Wars soon.
