Murakami Fond Acquires 5% Stake in Square Enix

Murakami Fond has acquired a 5.04% stake in Square Enix. The fond which is led by Yoshiaki Murakami is known for targetting companies with a low stock price. The fond believes that the company's value will continue to increase and with it, its share price.Thereby Murakami Fond has become Square Enix's sixth largest shareholder. The founders of Square and Enix, Masashi Miyamoto and Yasuhiro Fukushima remain the company's largest shareholders, owning a combined stake of 45%. Sony Computer Entertainment is the company's third largest shareholder by holding an 8.64% stake.
