Square Enix Opens Fullmetal Alchemist 3 Website
04.30.05 - 12:19 AM

Square Enix has opened the official website for Hagane no Renkinjutsushi 3: Kami wo Tsugu Shoujo. The third installment in the series of action RPG-adaptions of the popular manga will not only feature an original story and scenario, but also an original character.

While being on a journey to find the legendary Philosophers Stone, protagonist Ed receives a letter from Roy. Apparently the item Ed is looking for is hidden in the Northern parts of the city of Valdora. The game's story begins with an incident occuring there.

As a first in series history, Hagane no Renkinjutsushi 3 will introduce a two-player split-screen mode. Also, it will now be possible to switch characters on the fly. In addition to well-known characters from the manga and anime, the game will also introduce an original heroine, 14-year old Sophie Bergman. The team behind the TV anime series and the movie has spent a lot of time creating the game's lengthy original anime sequences. It goes without saying, that the artists lending their voices to the characters in the TV series will also do so in the third incarnation of the series on PlayStation 2.

Hagane no Renkinjutsushi 3: Kami wo Tsugu Shoujo will be available in Japan sometime this summer.
