Wada Talks Square Enix Support for WiFi Service
05.11.05 - 4:44 PM

In an interview with GameWatch, Square Enix president Youichi Wada expressed support for Nintendo's WiFi online service for the Nintendo DS. Asked whether his company had a specific plan to support Nintendo's plans, Wada replied that Square Enix aims to be a major supporter of this initiative. Specifically, this seemless online service would not only include the Nintendo DS, but as a next step also its next generation hardware, the Revolution. He referred to the Revolution as an entirely new platform and as hardware which Square Enix had been desiring.

With Egg Monster Heroes, Square Enix has released its first title for the Nintendo DS in Japan in March. New installments of Dragon Quest Monsters, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, Seiken Densetsu as well as a remake of Final Fantasy III are also in the works.
