First Details on Tengai Makyou for PSP and DS
05.12.05 - 10:32 PM

Hudson today revealed some details regarding the two newest additions to its popular Tengai Makyou (Far East of Eden) series of RPGs. Both games will be remakes of previous series installments. The PlayStation Portable title will be a remake of Tengai Makyou: Dai Yon no Mokoshiroku (The Fourth Book of Revelations), while the DS will see a remake of Tengai Makyou II: Manji Maru. The DS release will mark the third release of the classic 1992 RPG within a matter of two years, as its GameCube version was released on September 25th 2003, with the PlayStation 2 version being available in Japan since October 2nd 2003. Tengai Makyou: Dai Yon no Mokoshiroku was originally released for the Saturn on January 14th 1997. How the two new titles will compare to previous releases in terms of enhancements and new features remains to be seen.

Tengai Makyou II: Manji Maru for DS will be available in Japan sometime this summer, with Tengai Makyou: Dai Yon No Mokoshiroku for PlayStation Portable to follow in fall.
