E3: RPGFan Chats With The FMA2 Team
05.19.05 - 3:27 PM

RPGFan had a chance to chat with Koji Taguchi, producer of the Fullmetal Alchemist anime and manga and Tomoya Asano, the producer of the Fullmetal Alchemist games. As most fans of Fullmetal Alchemist know, the series has completed in Japan and there is a slated theatrical release for July. Square-Enix will continue to produce Fullmetal Alchemist content while the fans still want it.

As many know, Fullmetal Alchemist was Square Enix's prototype for Polymorphic Content, which has recently surfaced with Code Age Commanders. The Manga has sold over 15 million units and the original game sold more than 250,000 copies in Japan.

Curse of the Crimson Elixir is slated to improve on the original in several ways. The game libraries have been tuned up and the graphics have been improved to look more like the manga and the anime. The game continues the story of Fullmetal Alchemist, but we are unsure where it fits in the overall FMA universe.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Curse of the Crimson Elixir is slated for a summer 2005 release in America. A third Fullmetal Alchemist game has been announced but the team preferred to speak only about the second game.
