New Grandia III Details Revealed
06.16.05 - 10:42 PM

Square Enix has updated the official website for its PlayStation 2 RPG Grandia III with new character information. Alonso is a seaman travelling the seas onboard his own ship. The 28-year old feels at home on the ocean and believes, that he can do whatever he pleases. He wields a harpoon-like spear as his weapon of choice. The 16-year old Ull is a young beastman who originally yields from a family protecting the holy beasts of the Flying Dragon's Valley. Since he did not like his family's strict laws, he sneaked away and since then has continued travelling the world on the back of the dragon Shiva. He is an old acquaintance of Alonso's, and also seems to know the legendary King of the Sky, Schmitt. The 23-year old Dahna radiates a certain calm. After her lover disappeared two years ago, she has taken his job as mayor of the village of Pakura. The pain of having lost her loved one is still strong, and hence she lives by strictly obeying the village rules. She has a strong sense of justice, and often quarrels with her younger sister Ruiri. She is also a gifted fortuneteller and controls a mysterious card that is said to hold spiritual powers.

Grandia III will be available in Japan on August 4th for 7,980 yen ($73.07 US).
