New Fuuraiki 2 Details Announced
07.14.05 - 10:20 PM

Fog has announced first details regarding its PlayStation 2 adventure title Fuuraiki 2. While the first Fuuraiki took players to Japan's northernmost island of Hokkaido, the second game will take place on the southern tip of the Japanese archipelago, namely in Okinawa prefecture. Four and a half years after the events of the original game, protagonist Tetsu Souma is writing a reportage about a travel to Okinawa. The contest he is entering this time is about covering the island of Chuurashima. Originally he had no intention to participate, but a letter from his rival who was supposed to dead, prompts him to change his mind.

Fuuraiki 2 will feature three scenarioes each centering around one of the following heroines: 22-year old Koyomi Serizawa, 17-year old Mikoto Uehara and 12-year old Tayler Matsuru-Amatsugu.

While the game's characters feature standard anime-inspired designs, the over 100 locations have a very realistic feel to them, because they are based on actual photographs of the respective locations in Okinawa prefecture. These locations will include famous spots as well as little-known good places.

Fuuraiki 2 will be available in Japan on October 27th for 6,800 yen ($60.77 USD).
