Square Enix Sees Better than Expected Results
08.11.05 - 11:01 PM

In an interview with Denpa Shimbun, Square Enix president Youichi Wada said his company will have better than expected financial results for the current fiscal year that ends on March 31st 2006. Wada cited the large quantity of hit titles such as Kingdom Hearts II and Final Fantasy XII going on sale during the third and fourth quarter as reason.

As for the next generation of hardware, Wada reiterated previous statements regarding Square Enix's future strategy. To release games for multiple platforms would be the basic strategy. Initially however, the method of first creating games on the PC platform and then releasing them for other platforms would be better. Meanwhile, Square Enix will also continue to focus on expanding outside of Japan.
