Sony Pictures Announces US Advent Children Delay

Square Enix had earlier announced that the US version of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children would launch simultaneously with the Japanese version. However, in the most recent issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly, the magazine stated that Sony Pictures wants to launch the game "this holiday season."When RPGFan contacted Square Enix, no response was immediately available. Advent Children will be released on UMD and in a two-disc Special Edition. No pricing has been announced.
Updated 08.26.05 - 11:06PM - Square Enix has only been able to confirm Sony Pictures' statement and could only say "[Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children is] coming Holiday 2005 on UMD and a two-disc DVD Special Edition."
