10.03.05 - 5:13 PM

Mythic Entertainment has announced that the newest expansion to Dark Age of Camelot, Darkness Rising has gone gold and will be available only as a digital download, but will be in a boxed set for new players.

New players to Dark Age of Camelot will be able to pick up Dark Age of Camelot: Epic Edition, which includes the game and all expansions for an MSRP of $39.99 USD. Darkness Rising itself will be available for $19.99 USD, and current subscribers can pre-order it here.

"The launch of Darkness Rising showcases our ongoing commitment to our flagship title with thrilling, new content that evolves the world of Dark Age of Camelot beyond its current boundaries," said Jeff Hickman, Executive Producer for Dark Age of Camelot. "With our new digital distribution system, this new content will be immediately available to players upon release."

Late last month we had a chance to chat it up with Dark Age of Camelot staff members about the newest expansion in sunny Las Vegas, Nevada. You can check out what's going to be in the expansion below.
