New World of Mana Details Released

Square Enix today released more information regarding the two newest addition to its long-running Seiken Densetsu series, Seiken Densetsu DS: Children of Mana and Seiken Densetsu 4. While the return of series mastermind Kouichi Ishii as producer was expected, the return of Masato Katou wasn't. The mastermind of the Chrono series, who has also worked on Final Fantasy VII, Xenogears and Final Fantasy XI before leaving Square Enix, is providing the scenario for Seiken Densetsu DS. The game's music will be composed by a trio of well-known composers, headed by Kenji Itou. The series veteran will be joined by Masaharu Iwata, who had previously worked on Final Fantasy Tactics together with Hitoshi Sakimoto, and Takaharu Aiyuki who previously worked on Drag-on Dragoon 2 (Drakengard 2).Seiken Densetsu DS: Children of Mana will be available in Japan sometime in winter 2006. Seiken Densetsu 4 has yet to receive an official release date.
