BioWare Drops Massive Xbox 360 Bomb

BioWare has announced a new Xbox 360 Action-RPG entitled Mass Effect. Published by Microsoft Game Studios, the game, from the developers of NeverWinter Nights and, most recently, Jade Empire, uses BioWare's own intellectual property as a world.

The title is futuristic, inviting players to "Brave the unknown dangers of strange, undiscovered alien worlds." Interestingly enough, one of the factions involved in the game are the Imperators, sharing the name with Mythic's indefinitely-postponed futuristic MMORPG, Imperator. Of course, the word is also latin for a victorious commander, so it's certainly just a coincidence.
