SOE To Develop MMORPG Without Monthly Fees

Sony Online Entertainment's president John Smedley said at his keynote speech at the Austin Game Developers Conference that SOE would be releasing a subscription-free MMORPG. Much as SOE's EverQuest II partially works, their upcoming MMORPG will allow players to buy access to new zones and equipment in lieu of a monthly fee.Smedley did not give a release window for the game, other than that they "[will] be launching this quickly."
