Atlus USA Announces Contact For The Nintendo DS

Atlus USA has announced the upcoming release of the Nintendo DS Action-RPG Contact. Developed by Marvelous Interactive, Contact follows the story of a man simply known as The Professor as he crash lands on an alien planet and must repair his ship. Enlisting the aid of Terry, a young man, and the player, The Professor will find animal-training, item-collecting, monster-hunting, and playing old-school minigames all in his repitoire. The character designs in Contact are done by Atsuko Fukushima, the character designer for the recently released PoPoLoCrois for the PSP."Contact is the rare breed of quirky RPG that attracts a rabid fanbase with its whacked-out story, setting, and characters," said Tomm Hulett, Project Lead for Atlus U.S.A., Inc. "I'm excited that gamers will be able to spread the fever to thousands of others with Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection." Set for release in Summer 2006, Contact has not yet been rated by the ESRB.
