Konami Soundtracks Update
03.26.06 - 8:49 PM

Today we have eight soundtrack reviews, and I am pleased to announce that I did not contribute to this update one bit. This update is a result of fantastic reader-reviewers and some other great staff members here at RPGFan.

Our five Konami soundtracks break down into two large series titles: Suikoden and Castelvania. Reader-reviewer Connary gives us reviews of two very recent soundtracks, one of them being the promotional album for the Japanese release of Genso Suikoden V. The other is the delayed arranged album for Genso Suikoden IV. Very hip!

The double-disc soundtrack to Aria of Sorrow and Dawn of Sorrow has been reviewed by staff member Mike Wilson. The complete soundtrack title, hailing from their original Japanese names, is "Castlevania Minuet of Dawn & Akumajou Dracula Cross of the Blue Moon Original Soundtrack." Sort that one out on your own time.

Mike also reviewed a promotional soundtrack for the Japanese release of Curse of Darkness. Entitled the "Prelude of Revenge", these few tracks are an outstanding look at the music from this game. As for the full OST, reader Derek Strange has that one covered!

Time to go non-Konami...

Another one from Mike Wilson: after reviewing the game, he now reviews the complete OST for Wild Arms 4. This review's been a long time coming, but we're glad to have it, and if you take a look, you'll be glad to learn what this fine soundtrack has to offer.

Seasoned import gamer, news editor, and all-around intellectual Chris Winkler takes a crack at Masashi Hamauzu's latest soundtrack. It's the OST for Dirge of Cerberus -Final Fantasy VII-! We are excited to bring this review to you, and we hope you'll take a chance to read it.

Finally, a special treat from reader-reviewer Ben Schweitzer: the recently-released four disc soundtrack: Estpolis Biography Sound Track. Part of the "Game Sound Legend Consumer Series" from Scitron, this collection has complete music from the Lufia titles on Super Famicom and GameBoy Color. Though it lacks the music from the GBA release, it is still a fine four disc set.

Next week, there will be even more Square-Enix action, as well as a few unexpected treats from readers and staff alike. Enjoy!
