Producer Talks Future of Tokimeki Memorial

In an interview with a Japanese website, producer Metal Yuuki has talked at greath length about the series he has masterminded, Tokimeki Memorial. Asked about his first foray into online gaming, the recently released Tokimeki Memorial Online, the producer said he had many sleepless nights in the weeks leading up to the online title's March 23rd release. One reason was Konami's decision to launch the game immediately after the second beta testing phase. Afterwards, the input of registration codes did not work properly on day 1 of the commercial release. With the game being commercially available, Metal Yuuki emphasized that he wanted to show that there is more to online gaming than the standard MMORPG formula. While the main topic of the interview was indeed Tokimeki Memorial Online, the producer also briefly talked about the series' future. While he did not go into specifics, the producer has his sight on next-generation consoles and mobile devices as new platforms. Konami has not announced a target platform for the next installment of Tokimeki Memorial. In addition to Tokimeki Memorial Online, the company released the newest port of Tokimeki Memorial - Forever With You for PlayStation Portable in March.
