E3 2006: What Happened To Code Age?
05.11.06 - 1:33 PM

Last year, at E3 2005, Square Enix showcased the "new concept" series Code Age. They announced a PS2 action-RPG Code Age Commanders, a manga series Code Age Archives, and a cell-phone based fighting game Code Age Brawlers. This year, none of these titles are anywhere to be found.

When asked to comment on this, Square Enix's PR simply said that "if Code Age Commanders is published in the US, it won't be through us." Considering the title's low sales and review scores in Japan, we aren't entirely surprised. However, as Ubisoft did recently publish Square Enix's Drakengard 2 in the US, hope may not be entirely lost for any of you who strongly desire to play the game. Of course, this is mere speculation.
