Tales of Phantasia PSP Details Announced
07.28.06 - 9:59 PM

Bandai Namco Games today announced some new details regarding its upcoming PlayStation Portable RPG Tales of Phantasia: Full Voice Edition. In addition to full voice acting, the newest remake of the series' first installment will feature one exclusive element called Grade Shop. Before playing through the game for a second time, players will gain access to the Grade Shop. Using the grades they have received for their battle performance during their first play through as a currency, the shop allows them to change the game's settings. Thereby it will be possible to gain access to all the powerful skills obtained during the first play through, right from the beginning of the second play through. Those looking for a bigger challenge on the other hand also have the chance to reduce stats such as maximum HP or experience points by 50%.

Those who pre-order the PlayStation Portable title in Japan will be treated to a special DVD, containing an original drama, interviews with voice actors, an artwork gallery and trailers of cherished event scenes.

Tales of Phantasia: Full Voice Edition will be available in Japan on September 7th for 4,800 yen ($41.40 US).
