Seiken Densetsu Goes Cellphone

Beginning today, Square Enix is offering a remake of Seiken Densetsu: Final Fantasy Gaiden to users of Vodafone Japan's 3G cellphones. Originally released for the Game Boy one and a half decades ago, the first installment of Kouichi Ishii's popular series now features colorful visuals (compared to the original's monochrome graphics). The game is the third installment of the World of Mana project which includes the already released Seiken Densetsu DS: Children of Mana and the upcoming PlayStation 2 title Seiken Densetsu 4.

Seiken Densetsu: Final Fantasy Gaiden for cellphones is available for 500 yen ($4.30 US).
