New Shining Force EXA Details Announced

Sega announced some new details regarding its action RPG Shining Force EXA for PlayStation 2 today. One of the game's key features will be the player's own fortress. While one protatgonist is on a mission, the second protagonist will have to command the fortress' defensive systems. Two of those systems have been revealed today: One are defense robots which are mass-produced in a facility located inside the fortress. Players will not only be able to repair and enhance these robots, but also enhance their production line allowing for more robots to be produced. The second system is a long-range cannon. This weapon's purchase is not exclusively defensive however. Its powerful laser beam can also be called upon during battles to deal with pesky enemies.Shining Force EXA will be available in Japan sometime this winter.
