Nihon Falcom Announces Ys 20th Anniversary Concerts

Nihon Falcom announced two live concerts to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Ys' debut in Japan. The actual anniversary concert is scheduled for March 24th 2007 06:00 pm JST. Taking place in Shibuya's Duo Music Exchange, this "Ys 20th Anniversary Commemoration Falcom Live 2007" concert will feature performances of classic themes, such as "To Make the End of Battle" as well as newer songs from the upcoming Ys Origin.

Furthermore, Falcom will hold a mini live concert in Akihabara to commemorate the December 21st release of the series' newest installment, Ys Origin. This concert will take place on the event floor of the Asobit City store in Tokyo's Akihabara district and feature a performance by SKY, a trio of female vocalists who worked with Nihon Falcom on Ys VI and Eiyuu Densetsu: Sora no Kiseki. Tickets for the December concert are not available for sale. Instead, fans will have to pre-order their copy of Ys Origin's first-print limited edition at Asobit City and then exchange the voucher coming with the game for a ticket.

Ys Origin will be available in Japan on December 21st, retailing for 7,600 yen ($65.61 US).
