Square Enix Anounces New FF Game for PSP
05.09.07 - 9:05 PM

Square Enix has opened a teaser site for its newest PlayStation Portable project. Titled Dissidia: Final Fantasy, the game is part of Square Enix's Final Fantasy 20th Anniversary series, which also includes the PlayStation Portable remakes of Final Fantasy I and II. Unlike those two games, however, Dissidia won't be a turn-based RPG, but rather a "dramatic progressive action" title. What this description means in terms of gameplay elements is currently unknown.

Apart from Tetsuya Nomura's involvement in the game, the teaser site does not offer any information so far. Expect to hear more about Square Enix's newest PlayStation Portable project later this week during the company's Square Enix Party 2007.

Dissidia: Final Fantasy has yet to receive an official release date in Japan.
