Akitoshi Kawazu Resigns From Square Enix's Board

SaGa series mastermind Akitoshi Kawazu will resign from Square Enix's board of directors effective June 23, 2007. The veteran producer has been the only developer on the company's board. Kawazu, who recently oversaw the completion of Final Fantasy XII's development as executive producer, is set to focus exclusively on game development again. His current projects include the recently announced multiplatform title The Last Remnant, the two Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles games for DS and Wii, as well as Final Fantasy Tactics A2.
