Square Enix Talks Future Fantasy

In an interview with Japanese daily Nihon Keizai Shimbun, Square Enix's executive director Shinji Hashimoto talked about the future of the company's flagship series, Final Fantasy. Asked about Square Enix's platform strategy for Final Fantasy apart from the PlayStation 3-based Final Fantasy XIII, Hashimoto obviously mentioned Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Crystal Bearers, which is currently in development for Nintendo Wii. As far as Final Fantasy on Xbox 360 is concerned, he likened the situation to an entirely blank paper at this point in time.

While Hashimoto also touched on the subject of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, he would not give a concrete release date for the popular CG movie's blu-ray release.
