Marvelous Announces Avalon Code for DS
05.08.08 - 8:27 PM

Marvelous Interactive is working on an original action RPG for DS, titled Avalon Code. The game takes place in a dying world in which the player takes control of either a male or female protagonist. The former is called Yumiru, the latter Tia. Said protagonist must collect information about his or her world and write it down in an empty book of prophecies. Because this book holds immense power, it essentially gives its owners god-like abilities. By rewriting the information in the book, the player can change the world according to his or her ideas. Encounter a seemingly invincible monster? No problem, just retrieve the necessary information from the monster and create a weak spot. A young girl suffering from illness? No problem either, just obtain information from her, and cure her.

Avalon Code's battles will unfold on the DS' upper screen, while the prophecy book is displayed on the touch screen. Not only does the book show information about your foes, but the player can also use the book's powers during battle. The game's development is currently 75%.

Avalon Code will be available in Japan sometime later this year.
