Square Enix Dates Infinite Undiscovery, Dragon Quest Handhelds
05.21.08 - 3:03 PM

Square Enix is looking at giving American gamers a great selection of games this summer and fall, announcing the release dates of Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen for the Nintendo DS and Infinite Undiscovery for the Xbox 360. Additionally, they have announced that Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride and Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Reverie will be seeing US release for the Nintendo DS, as well.

Infinite Undiscovery, tri-Ace's first Xbox 360-exclusive title will be hitting American shores on September 2, 2008. In Infinite Undiscovery, players will be given a myriad of decisions that will affect the world around them and even the game's real-time combat. As well, players will be able to create their party from a pool of 18 members, and the most obvious collection of members will rarely be the correct one in the game's dynamic battle system.

"With the simultaneous release of Infinite Undiscovery, Square Enix is entering an exciting new period of delivering great gaming experiences to our fans all around the world at the same time, creating new global communities," said John Yamamoto, president and chief executive officer of Square Enix, Inc. and Square Enix, Ltd. "This is something that we have aimed to do for a long time and we look to continue to deliver worldwide gaming experiences across all platforms well into the future."

The other announced release date that Square Enix provided was for Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen for the DS, which will see release two weeks later on September 16, 2008. Embarking on an adventure with those from many walks of life, all who will unite with the hero to save the world.

The two other entries in the "Zenithia Trilogy" of Dragon Quest games, Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride and Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Reverie, have never been released in the United States, but will see release soon on the Nintendo DS. Keep your eyes peeled and keep watch at RPGFan for more information on all four of these titles.
