Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia Announced

Konami, at a pre-E3 event, has shown their newest title in their popular Castlevania series, entitled Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia for DS. This time around, you follow a solo female lead instead of a male one, in order to defeat the count. Shanoa, as she's named, is a member of the Order of Ecclesia, which is tasked with fighting Drac in the absence of the Belmont clan. To accomplish this, she uses the Glyph System, in which she can bind glyphs to her arms and back, each one activated by a different button. Glyphs can be used in concert or individually to produce different effects.For fans of the previous style of artwork (read, before Dawn of Sorrows) Ayami Kojima is back doing the character artwork. In addition, the gameplay seems to be very reminiscent of previous games, in which you explore maps in the style first set up by Metroid and taken by Konami for Symphony of the Night. Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia does not yet have a release date, but we'll keep you posted.
