Square Enix Talks Dev Status of FFXIII, Other Projects

After Famitsuu talked with Square Enix's Tetsuya Nomura about his company's upcoming DK Sigma 3713 Private Party 2008, the magazine also quizzed the director and character designer about the status of the various projects in which he is involved.Nomura revealed that the development of Final Fantasy XIII was currently prioritized over Final Fantasy Versus XIII. Hence, members of the Versus XIII team have been temporarily assigned to the Final Fantasy XIII team. Development of Kingdom Hearts 358/2 for DS has not reached a stage comparable to that of Dissidia: Final Fantasy. Among the company's three major cellphone releases (3rd Birthday, Kingdom Hearts Coded and Final Fantasy Agito XIII), the first one to be released in Japan will probably be Kingdom Hearts Coded.
