American Release Date for King's Bounty: The Legend

A sequel to the 1990 cult favorite on the PC, King's Bounty: The Legend features fully three-dimensional graphics in place of the 2D landscapes of the original. Players choose one of three characters (Knight, Mage, or Paladin) and travel throughout the game universe on a mission to save the Kingdom of Darion from the plague wrought over it. The gameplay has not been changed much from its predecessor, with the player setting strategies to be used by the army under his or her command. This sequel also features the return of the Leadership system, where a rise in the character's rank increases the strength and numbers of the militia that can be recruited.King's Bounty: The Legend has already been released to critical acclaim in Russia, winning Best Role-Playing Game and Best Game Design at the Russian Game Developer's Conference. A North American release date has been scheduled for September 23, 2008.
