Toolkit Released for Dragon Age: Origins
09.01.08 - 3:08 PM

In the tradition of Neverwinter Nights, Dragon Age: Origins developer BioWare has announced that it will be releasing a toolkit to allow fans to create their own adventures. The toolkit, which was first shown at this weekend's Penny Arcade Expo, will allow players to fully edit and customize the scripts to their own adventures, modify creature AI and combat, and design their own cut-scenes. BioWare will update the toolkit on a regular basis, and will host a developer community where fans can share their custom creations with the rest of the world.

Dragon Age: Origins still has a long way to go. As of this writing, it has a projected release date of Q1 2009 for PC. A console version is expected in the later part of 2009.
