Despite making decent sales worldwide, many critics felt that the first Spectrobes game, a Nintendo DS RPG, left much to be desired.However, developer Jupiter (known for their work on Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories and The World Ends With You) stepped up their game for the upcoming sequel, Spectrobes: Beyond the Portals. We at RPGFan are hoping that the sequel makes up for the deficiencies of the first game. One thing we can say for sure, at this point, is that there's a definite improvement in the graphics department. Also, the screens also reveal that a useful "lock-on" mechanism has been added to the combat system.
