Sega Announces 7th Dragon
09.24.08 - 1:10 PM

Last week we reported on Sega announcing a new RPG directed by Etrian Odyssey mastermind Kazuya Niinou. Today, the company shed some more light on the mysterious title. Titled 7th Dragon, the Nintendo DS title tasks players with slaying powerful dragons. Unless the protagonist manages to destroy them, the fiery beasts that already rule over 80% of the game's world will wipe out mankind. An active party in 7th Dragon consists of up to four members. Battles are going to be command-based. The developers are implementing seven different character classes (rogue, mage, fighter, princess, knight, samurai, and healer), with each class having four different appearances. Skills are acquired via skill trees.

7th Dragon will be available in Japan in spring 2009.
