Hellgate: London Shutting Down

It's no secret that I was a huge fan of Hellgate: London after playing it during events leading up to its release. I was the driving force behind RPGFan giving it not one, not two, but three Best PC RPG of E3 awards. I felt silly when it came out to be an incredibly buggy, un-fun mess, and the gaming public responded in kind by putting their gaming dollars elsewhere.Namco Bandai has told those gamers that did put cash down for paid accounts that Hellgate: London will cease to have online play on January 31, 2009. The game will be free to play online until the servers are brought offline.
