New "Star Onions" Album Planned
12.09.08 - 4:48 PM

At the Final Fantasy XI Fan Festival 2008, held in Los Angeles on December 6, many new announcements were made about the MMORPG. When Kumi Tanioka performed a piano solo concert, she announced that she had a surprise video to present. The video was from composer Naoshi Mizuta, who had two things to say: first, that he was sorry that he was unable to attend the Fan Festival; second, that another "Star Onions" arranged album is in the works. Mizuta-san said that the CD is currently planned for a Spring 2009 release.

Considering Square Enix's recent decision to list many of the import soundtracks for sale on their own North American merchandise site, fans of Final Fantasy XI's music the world over can look forward to purchasing this album in the coming months.

More information and feature articles about this past weekend's Final Fantasy XI Fan Festival will be published on RPGFan in the coming days. We hope you look forward to it!
