...or maybe you're just not Japanese.

That wasn't meant to be racist. All I'm sayin' is, the Dragon Quest series has historically performed less impressively in North America than it has in Japan. But in Japan, it's one of the biggest, best-selling franchises out there. People take off work and school to get games in this series on release day. It's like a holiday all its own.

Dragon Quest IX: Protectors of the Starry Sky will be released in Japan on July 11th, 2009. No news on the North American release date yet.
