428 Goes Multiplatform
PSP/PS3 releases of popular Wii adventure in the works.
07.01.09 - 6:11 PM

Spike has announced PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable versions of 428: Fuusa sareta Shibuya de (At a blocked Shibuya). The Chunsoft-developed adventure title was originally published by Sega for Nintendo Wii last year. The Wii release received a rare perfect 40/40 score from Weekly Famitsu. The decision to bring 428 to the two Sony platforms was a reaction to Japanese fans requesting a portable release as well as a version featuring high definition visuals. Because its publishing deal with Sega has since expired, Chunsoft has approached Spike about publishing the two new versions. While the game's critically acclaimed content will remain untouched, the developers promise several enhancements over the original release. Apart from gameplay-related improvements, the PlayStation 3 is set to receive high definition visuals and real 5.1ch sound.

428 for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable will be available in Japan in September.
