XSEED Games Bringing RIZ-ZOAWD to North America
Now with new name, "The Wizard of Oz: Beyond the Yellow Brick Road."

It looks like XSEED was still holding in some of its cards at this year's E3. After the show had come and gone without any news of a RIZ-ZOAWD localization, it was assumed that this DS RPG, developed by Media.Vision (Wild Arms), would never reach an English-speaking audience. Or, if it did, that XSEED wasn't involved.

However, it was revealed this weekend that, indeed, XSEED is bringing the game to North America. The game will be retitled The Wizard of Oz, Beyond the Yellow Brick Road. The official announcement hasn't come from XSEED yet, but the game is already listed on Amazon and GameFly with official descriptions already written. There's even box art (see news source). We expect XSEED will announce the game and launch an official site in the near future, as the proposed release date (according to retailers) is for the end of September 2009.
