Sega and tri-Ace have revealed additional information about their upcoming PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360-based RPG End of Eternity (Resonance of Fate). The weapons at the party members' disposal can be roughly categorized as follows: hand gun, machine gun and grenade. Elemental attacks of various kinds (fire, ice, electricity, poison) can be performed by attaching magazine cases or grenade boxes to those weapons.

End of Eternity differentiates two types of damage. Direct damage is dealt by hand guns and grenades. This type of damage immediately decreases a target's HP. The scratch damage dealt by machine gun fire is a more complicated affair. The player will be able to deal more damage to an enemy that way, but if it isn't followed up by an attack dealing direct damage, the target's HP will slowly but surely recover.

Characters can also engage in battles without their firearms equipped. Instead of guns, they will then resort to knives and kicks to attack their foes.

End of Eternity will be available in Japan on January 28th for 7,980 yen ($86.71 USD).
