More reasons for pre-Christmas celebrations at Squenix.
12.21.09 - 3:06 PM

While it's still a few more days until Christmas (which isn't a major holiday in Japan anyways), Square Enix already has plenty to celebrate. Final Fantasy XIII took only four days to sell more than 1.5 million copies, and now Dragon Quest IX has become the best selling Dragon Quest title to date. The company today reported that it has shipped 4.15 million copies of the DS-based RPG, which was released in Japan back in July. The title of the most successful Dragon Quest game used to belong to Dragon Quest VII, which boasts lifetime sales of 4.1 million copies.
