James explains why, for once, we're not giving an award to a Persona game.

It's not secret that we love Shin Megami Tensei at RPGFan. In particular, the Persona series has made big waves around here, and it felt like Atlus could do no wrong.

But then, James Clark comes in to rain on the parade. Why James, why?!?

Seriously though, the man has a good point. Was it really necessary to give us yet another iteration of Persona 3? We got it on PS2 twice over. And while Persona 3 Portable (P3P for short) adds something significant--a female protagonist--that's not enough to impress Mr. Clark.
