03.18.10 - 3:45 PM

Now that Warner Brothers has control over the Lord of the Rings license, they have announced that now-internal studio Snowblind Studios, of Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance and Champions of Norrath fame will be working on a new Action-RPG. Entitled Lord of the Rings: War in the North, the title will see release on PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 in 2011. WBIE says that the game is, "Inspired by events from the famous book trilogy, the game features stunning visuals, brutally realistic combat, a unique and compelling new story, and innovative cooperative gameplay that pits you and your friends against the dark forces of Middle-earth."
