Atlus is working on a new addition to its popular
Persona series of RPGs. Katsura Hashino, the game designer and director of
Persona 3 and
Persona 4, told Japanese magazine Dengeki PS that Atlus was readying a new game. Hashino apparently wants to retain features that fans expect from a
Persona game. At the same time, he aims to change elements which can be altered within the limits set by series conventions.
The fact that Hashino made those comments towards a publication that exclusively covers games made for Sony's platforms, seems to suggest that the new Persona game is in development for one of the PlayStation platforms.
