Tokimeki Memorial 2, 4 Original Soundtracks Reviewed
Neal and Pat duke it out; who can review more soundtracks in this ridiculous dating sim series?
04.20.10 - 8:49 PM

Konami's premiere dating sim, Tokimeki Memorial, is a game that may never see the light of day in the US. Even with the genre gaining more traction and compatibility on this side of the pacific, who really believes Konami will give us this game? I don't. But that doesn't mean I don't want it.

The series itself has four main series installments, the most recent of which was released late last year. As a result, a soundtrack came out for it too. And Neal has the soundtrack review for it. Tokimeki Memorial 4 sports some surprisingly good tunes across its 2 disc OST. Check it out!

So it turns out we never covered the original music for Tokimeki Memorial 2. With 1, 3, and 4 out of the way, I took it upon myself to delve deep. What I found was four discs' worth of music (across two soundtracks) with lots of classical music rearranged, as well as an obvious rip off of Nobuo Uematsu, particularly Final Fantasy VIII, which was released around the same time as Tokimemo 2. It's important to have an ear for these things, you know.

Next soundtracks update, I promise, will be far more relevant and have music for games you've heard of and will likely be playing later this year. Hurray for the import music scene!
