Torchlight Sells 500,000 Copies, Mac Version Now Available
Did someone say loot?
05.21.10 - 8:31 PM

Since its release on October 27th, 2009, Torchlight has sold a whopping 500,000 copies. The success of the Diablo-inspired game should come as no surprise as developer Runic Games is comprised of staff that made the Diablo games, as well as Fate, Hellgate: London, and Mythos.

While the game was originally only available on the PC via digital download and retail, a Mac version of the game was released on May 12 exclusively for download on Steam. Torchlight was one of the first games to support Valve's SteamPlay initiative, allowing owners of the Steam version to play the game on both Mac and PC. Torchlight is currently available for $19.99 from a variety of digital download and retail locations.
