Valkyria Chronicles II Dated For North America

Sega has announced that Valkyria Chronicles II, the Sony PSP sequel to RPGFan's 2008 Strategy RPG of the Year, will be hitting North American shelves on August 31st. The game follows protagonist Avan's escapades as a Lanseal Military Academy recruit. Combat takes place using the BLiTZ tactical battle system, and the game utilizes a pared down version of the Canvas watercolor graphics engine.

It should also be noted that a pre-order at GameStop will net buyers a pair of extra in-game missions at no additional cost, so fans of Valkyria Chronicles have a lot to look forward to next month.
