Xenoblade Soundtrack Review
...As promised! As advertised!
08.10.10 - 12:06 AM

I want to make a toast to my new friend, Stephen Meyerink.

Stephen is a new-ish member to the RPGFan staff, and in his short time here he's already taken on a lot of assignments.

In this most recent case, he takes on the four disc OST for the Wii title Xenoblade.

When the game was first announced, we knew Mitsuda was working on it. Turns out, he only wrote the theme song.

Later, we were told that Yoko Shimomura was penning "the majority" of the soundtrack. Turns out Shimomura wrote less than 30% of the music.

So the star-studded cast turns out to be a bit of a charade. Thankfully, this in no way hinders the soundtrack's high quality. The "ACE+" sound team (comprising a few names you wouldn't readily recognize) does most of the music, and in the opinion of both Meyerink and myself, it's quite good.

But enough from me, click the link below to get right to the action. And by "action," I mean full review with audio samples.
