TGS 2010: The 3rd Birthday To Celebrate In Japan This Winter
And it's on MY birthday! ...Coincidence, or fate?!
09.17.10 - 1:58 AM

At this year's Tokyo Game Show, Square Enix announced a release date for its long-awaited (on something other than a cellphone, that is) third installment in the Parasite Eve series, The 3rd Birthday. Recently, the PlayStation Portable title's director, Hajime Tabata tweeted about the 'costume damage' system, in which protagonist Aya Brea's clothing becomes increasingly torn or burnt off as she takes more damage in battle. (One can only hope that some distracted gamers don't let her take TOO much damage...) As a result, after she heals at a save point or returns to a headquarters, her clothes are good as new. This is also the case after Aya uses her Overdive, an ability which lets her take over and switch between the minds of soldiers, so she can control them in battle to help her fight the Twisted.

The 3rd Birthday will be out on December 22nd in Japan for 6090 yen ($71.04 US). A North American release will come sometime next year.
