If you follow the news closely, you may have heard about SEGA's tie-in with Pizza Hut for the original release of
Phantasy Star Portable 2, which manifested itself in the form of pizza slicer and pizza box-based equipment. Apparently this just wasn't taking food-based collaboration far enough, as
Phantasy Star Portable 2: Infinity not only features KFC founder Colonel Sanders, but he will actually fight alongside you on missions!
While a KFC collaboration seems random, keep in mind both KFC and Pizza Hut share the same parent company, Yum! Brands (formerly a part of Pepsico, though maybe you knew that). This promotion is also being done to celebrate KFC's 40th Anniversary in Japan.
Of course, whoever came up with these ideas in the first place is clearly just a little insane. By which I mean: they're brilliant.
Now someone please make a game with a Jack in the Box tie-in and I can die happy.
